This device filters out solid particles from the air intake previous to its admission into the engine. In this way, foreign agents such as sand, insects and dust are kept outside thus protecting cylinders and valves from unwanted wear.
The air filter is fitted to the admission.
NORMAL WEAR AND REPLACEMENT FREQUENCY
It is important to replace the air filter following the guidelines laid out in the user’s manual issued by the car maker, which is normally every 10,000 km (6213,71). Failure to change this filter may bring about different problems such as excess fuel consumption, loss in engine power, undue wear of internal engine parts and pollution of the environment.
If loss of power or unusual exhaust fumes are detected, please contact the nearest representative for this brand.
Please consult your Driver’s manual provided by the manufacturer; regularly check this part for rust in or on the rubber boot and its clamps.
